Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires a higher minimum age. You may hold one account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Accounts are created with Sign in with Apple. You choose a nickname; real names are never required. Do not impersonate another person, and do not create accounts to evade a block, suspension, or removal.

Stranger Stories exists so people can share experiences and support one another. You may not post or do the following:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted attacks.
• Hate speech or attacks based on identity.
• Publishing private or identifying information about another person (doxxing).
• Sexually explicit content, or any sexual content involving minors.
• Content that encourages self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or violence.
• Spam, scams, solicitation, or bulk promotional content.
• Impersonation, or presenting invented stories as another person’s.
• Illegal content or activity, or infringing someone’s rights.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the service.

There is no private messaging in Stranger Stories, by design. All interaction happens publicly around a story.

You keep ownership of the stories, updates, images, and comments you publish. By publishing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and publicly display that content in order to operate and promote the service — including on public web story pages and shareable story cards that preserve your anonymity.

You confirm you have the right to share what you post, and that it does not violate anyone’s rights. You can edit or delete your content at any time; copies may persist in caches, backups, or in other people’s screenshots outside our control. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already shared by others and for the residual copies just described.

Every story and comment can be reported, and any user can be blocked. Story authors may hide comments on their own stories. We may review, limit, de-prioritize, hide, or remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, when we believe these Terms or our guidelines have been broken or someone’s safety is at risk. Where reasonable we will tell you why.

Stranger Stories is free to use. You may optionally contribute monthly or with a one-time lifetime contribution to help cover servers, moderation, and development. Contributions do not unlock reading, writing, commenting, reacting, or following.

Purchases in the iOS app are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies; we cannot issue refunds for Apple purchases.

Stranger Stories is a community for sharing experiences. It is not therapy, and it does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Content comes from other users and may be inaccurate or upsetting. If you are in crisis or someone’s life may be at risk, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line in your country immediately.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these Terms.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nestfull Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you contributed in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted.

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and that Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. If the app is licensed to you through the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them.

We may update these Terms; we will revise the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it. You may stop using Stranger Stories and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the service, or parts of it, with reasonable notice where possible.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Nestfull Labs’ place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the courts located there, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
